The lowdown:  'Trust' is a British legal drama set in the London law firm of Cooper-Fozard, starring Ian McShane
as senior partner Alan Cooper-Fozard and Robson Green as the head of the firm's legal team, Stephen Bradley. It
looks at both the professional and private lives of the firm's staff, who often have to deal with difficult clients while
coping with the breakdown of their own relationships.  A total of six episodes were broadcast on BBC1 between 9
January and 13 February 2003.  It is a lot more fast-paced that many British legal dramas, and is similar in style
to 'Boston Legal', but without its humour. Indeed, the offices of Cooper-Fozard are very modern and very much like
those of the law fictional firm in Boston Legal than the musty chambers of 'Rumpole of the Bailey''. The series also
features Sarah Parish (The Runaway Bride) as Annie Naylor, one of the firm's lawyers.

The episode:  The last episode of the series includes a brief appearance by David Tennant as Gavin McEwan, the
lawyer who is representing the wife of Stephen Bradley in divorce proceedings. Sadly, Tennant has little to do in this
episode and only appears in a couple of scenes. A subplot in the episodes involves Annie Naylor being interviewed
to become a partner, but another lawyer is also seeking partnership status, and only one of them will be successful.
Meanwhile, Bradley uncovers a rather shady deal in which Alan Cooper-Fozard may involved.

Who connections:  The sixth episode features a guest appearance by Sheila Ruskin, who is best known to fans of
Doctor Who as Kassia in The Keeper of Traken.  This episode also includes Bill Paterson, who will be in the third
episode of season five of Doctor Who.
